"Extra Tracks"[]
- On September 13, 2013, user "SteveBell" posted information on the Mountain-Goats.com forums about (and later uploaded to Archive.org) bonus tracks on his copy of Transmissions to Horace. All of the songs appear to be performed by The Extra Glenns, and according to John Darnielle they were recorded very early in his career, possibly even before Taboo VI: The Homecoming, the first Mountain Goats cassette.[1]
- "Sure" (from Sidereal Rest)
- "Greasepaint Friday" (Unreleased)
- "The Moon" (Unreleased)
- "(Untitled - Sliding Down the Right Pathway)" (Unreleased)
- "Bird on the Wire" (Leonard Cohen cover, live)

- "Rockin' Rockin' Twilight of the Gods" (live)
Overdubbed Copies[]
- On September 10, 2022 user "DenvereSports" posted a thread to /r/theMountainGoats detailing a copy of Transmissions to Horace which was dubbed over a copy of "Straight from the Heart" by The Gap Band. This was later uploaded to Archive.org. The reasoning behind this overdubbing is unclear, although some have speculated that Darnielle likely just ran out of blank tapes.
