- "I was going through old notebooks, right, and I ran across a song.... So it was from what became the central We Shall All Be Healed notebook. There's always multiple notebooks for an album, but then at some point, one notebook sort of announces itself as the one where most of the action is. Not all of the action, sometimes one will have, like, what is for me the key song, but when I look back at them years later, I go, 'oh wow, like, you know, No Children, Oceanographer's Choice, on consecutive days, right, and on consecutive pages of the notebook, right.' So, so this was the main We Shall All Be Healed notebook, the one I was, like, taping newspaper stories into about a tunnel that had been dug between the Mexican border and the US border to transport meth and stuff like that, um. Because We Shall All Be Healed is about me largely when I was doing a lot of meth, and, um -- yeah, I love, that's the best thing, you do not get applause when you announce your meth days. Anyway, I found a lyric that I kind of liked, um, it was from after I had actually renounced the meth and was, like, experimenting with other things in my life.
